〜として~toshite
in the role of
Attach 「〜として」 directly to a noun to speak or act in that role or from that standpoint.
How it works

Look at the role badge and arrow. In what role is she talking about daily life? First identify her standpoint.

「として」 means speaking or acting in a certain role, capacity, or from a certain standpoint. It corresponds to “as.”

Attach it to a noun without adding 「だ」: 留学生+として. The noun before it names the role.

留学生として: from an international student’s standpoint, explaining that looking after your health is also an important part of daily life.

予防策として: treating walking in the shade as a measure to prevent heatstroke.

体温調節の方法として: treating adjustments to what you wear as a way to regulate body temperature.
