Hello, everyone.
JPEdLabです。This is JPEdLab.
On Mondays, we look back at last week through three topics: Japanese, daily life, technology, and culture.
First, daily life.
On September 21, Typhoon No. 25 approached the Kanto region, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the Izu Islands and various parts of Kanto.
When traveling in Japan, it is important to check the latest information on trains and flights, as well as the weather.
Next, technology.
On September 25, Mujin received the top honor, the Prime Minister’s Award, at the Japan Startup Awards.
Mujin develops systems that make robots work intelligently in factories and logistics warehouses.
Finally, culture.
On September 27, at the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament, yokozuna Onosato won his head-to-head match against Aonishiki, who is from Ukraine, and claimed his sixth championship with a record of 12 wins and 3 losses.
Preparing for disasters, changes in the way people work through robots, and the internationalization of a traditional sport.
They take different forms, but all three share the question of how to face change.
Here’s a question for you.
Do you think that athletes from overseas succeeding in a traditional sport representing Japan changes the tradition, or do you think it helps spread the tradition around the world?
Please write your reason in the comments.
