この金泉きんせんと聞くきくと金色きんいろのお湯ゆを想像そうぞうしませんか。When you hear “Golden Spring,” don’t you imagine golden-colored water?

神戸こうべの有馬温泉ありまおんせんではこの金泉きんせんと呼ばよばれる温泉おんせんがあります。At Arima Onsen in Kobe, there is a hot spring called the Golden Spring.

でもその温泉おんせんの水みずの色いろは赤茶あかちゃ色いろのお湯ゆです。But the water in this hot spring is reddish brown.

金色きんいろではありません。It is not gold-colored.

なぜ赤茶あかちゃ色いろのお湯ゆなのでしょうか。Why is the water reddish brown?

この色いろはお湯ゆに含まふくまれる鉄分てつぶんが空気くうきに触れふれて酸化さんかすることで生まれうまれます。This color forms when the iron in the water comes into contact with the air and oxidizes.

そうです。That’s right.

このように温泉おんせんの景色けしきにも自然しぜんの仕組みしくみというものが見るみることができます。In this way, we can also see how nature works in the scenery of hot springs.

地元じもとの共同きょうどう浴よく場じょうでその金泉きんせんを日帰りひがえりで楽しめるたのしめるのが金きんの湯ゆです。You can enjoy the Golden Spring for a day at the local public bath, the Golden Bath.

新神戸駅しんこうべえきからJR高速こうそくバスで有馬温泉ありまおんせんまで約やく45よんじゅうご分ふん。It takes about 45 minutes to get from Shin-Kobe Station to Arima Onsen by JR highway bus.

通常つうじょうの大人おとな片道運賃かたみちうんちんは780ななひゃくはちじゅう円えん。The regular one-way fare for an adult is 780 yen.

金きんの湯ゆの大人料金おとなりょうきんは日曜にちようなら800はっぴゃく円えんです。Admission to the Golden Bath for an adult is 800 yen on Sundays.

往復おうふくのバスと入浴にゅうよくで合わせあわせて2,360にせんさんびゃくろくじゅう円えんが目安めやすです。A round-trip bus ride and admission to the bath come to about 2,360 yen in total.

バス降りおりてからの徒歩とほや待ちまち時間じかんは別べつに見みておきましょう。Allow extra time for walking after getting off the bus and for waiting.

そしてこれも注意ちゅういしておきたいことですが、温泉おんせんはお湯ゆを共有きょうゆうする場所ばしょでもあります。There is another thing to keep in mind: a hot spring is also a place where people share the water.

ですから礼儀れいぎとして先さきに体からだを洗っあらってから入るはいるのも他ほかの人ひとへの気遣いきづかいです。So, as a courtesy to others, washing your body before getting in is a considerate thing to do.
