A grammar explanation can feel clear right after you read it. In conversation, however, learners must retrieve particles, word order, politeness, and vocabulary at the same time.

What is retrieval practice?

Retrieval practice means trying to recall before seeing the answer. Quizzes, fill-in tasks, ordering tasks, and speaking practice all train learners to pull Japanese knowledge out.

Is spacing only for memorizing vocabulary?

No. Grammar, example sentences, and speaking patterns also become more stable when they are reused several times with time in between.
