〜も〜です~ mo ~ desu
matching information: too
Use 「〜も〜です」 when the new information matches what was just said, such as sharing the same hobby.
How it works

Look at the picture. What do their hobbies have in common? First, find the matching travel icons.

The other person says their hobby is traveling, and yours is the same. 「も」 means “too” and adds matching information.

「私も」 includes “me” among those with the same hobby. It tells the other person: my hobby is traveling too.

When talking about hobbies, 「私も旅行です」 leaves out “my hobby.” It means “My hobby is traveling too,” not “I am travel.”

「も」 goes right after the noun you want to include with “too.” 「私も」 means “me too.”

Use 「私は」 to introduce yourself. To say “I’m the same too,” replace this 「は」 with 「も」.

Don’t put 「は」 and 「も」 together as 「私はも」. The correct form is 「私も」.

If the other person says their hobby is gaming and yours is too, you can reply 「私もゲームです」.

If the other person’s hobby is traveling and yours is gaming, the information differs. You can’t use 「も」 to say “too” here.
