誰が〜ますかdare ga ~masu ka
ask who does it
Use 「誰が」 to ask which person performs an action or has a particular quality.
How it works

When you know someone is coming but do not know who, ask 「誰が来ますか」.

「誰」 is read 「だれ」 and asks about a person. 「誰が」 asks who does the action.

In the answer, replace 「誰」 with the person’s name and keep 「が」: 田中さんが来ます。

To ask who is coming, use 「誰が」. Do not replace 「が」 with 「は」 here.

「誰が一番上手ですか」 asks who is the best at something. You can also ask who has a particular quality.
