〜ていきます~te ikimasu
change continuing into future
Use 〜ていきます for a change or state that continues from now into the future, whether it rises or falls.
How it works

Look at the “now → future” arrow: changes in prices and the number of people will continue from now on.

Use it for both increases and decreases. The focus is on a change continuing into the future, not on numbers getting bigger.

Verb て-form + 「いきます」: 上がっていきます, 減っていきます.

It can also express a continuing state. For example, 「続いていきます」 means it will keep continuing from now on.

Here, 「いきます」 expresses progression through time, not going to a place.

In the examples, 「いく」 is the plain form. Adding 「かもしれません」 expresses a prediction that may not come true.
