〜はどこですか~ wa doko desu ka
Wa doko desu ka (〜はどこですか) means “asking where something is”.

Use 「〜はどこですか」 to politely ask where a known place or object is.

Ask like this when you want to find the restroom but do not know where it is. Look: where is the employee pointing?
「どこ」 means “where.” This question asks about a location, so the answer tells you where it is.
Put the name of what you are looking for before 「は」: トイレはどこですか。 First, say what you want to find.
It works for a bank or supermarket too: 銀行はどこですか。 Just change the name at the beginning.
You can also use this sentence to ask where an object is. Use it when you know what you are looking for but not where it is.
The 「は」 after the name is pronounced 「わ」. It marks what you are asking the location of.
Ending with 「ですか」 makes the question polite. Together, 「どこですか」 means “Where is it?”
Before asking an employee or passerby where something is, you can say 「すみません」 to get their attention politely.
