どうやって〜かdou yatte ~ka
ask how to do something
Use 「どうやって〜ますか」 to ask about the method, means, or steps for doing something.
How it works

You want to log in but do not know the steps. Look at the picture: what is 「どうやって」 asking?

「どうやって」 asks about a specific method, way, or means. It can also ask for the steps to follow.

Put 「どうやって」 before the action and 「か」 at the end of the sentence to ask how to do it.

In the example, 「作りました」 is in the past tense. The question asks how something was made earlier.

To answer this question, explain the tools or the steps you used. Naming only the finished item does not explain how you made it.
