〜ことにします~koto ni shimasu
decide to do
Use 「〜ことにします」 to state a personal decision about what you will do from now on.
How it works

Want to change your breakfast habits? Use this pattern to express what you decide to do from now on.

Use the dictionary form of the verb: 食べる, する. Then add 「ことにします」.

A friend invites you to go walking together. You accept and decide to be physically active every day starting tomorrow.

The example states a decision to eat a proper breakfast from now on. It does not tell us whether the person is already doing it every day.

「毎晩」 gives the chosen frequency: every night. The stretching example focuses on the person deciding on this plan.

「食べるようにしています」 emphasizes an ongoing, conscious effort to do it in everyday life.
